SPLIT CHARGE
We've been going camping a lot lately - and I appreciate a nice cup of tea and a sandwich so a 12v fridge is a must. Running it all night though was not an option, as I couldn't risk running down the main battery. I started to look into split charge systems, and decided to go with a simple high amperage relay and 2 100ah 600cca dual purpose batteries off eBay! The system works great and manages to run a cheapy fridge drawing 5a for 2 days before it reaches 11.4v! I added in a cheap caravan voltage sensing relay to switch the bigger relay automatically and an override switch to jump start between the two. You can see the two batteries under the passenger seat (took a lot of reasearch to get them to fit) the fusebox and relays mounted behind the passenger seat on the bulkhead and the two voltmeters with override switch in the MudPod!
