CB RADIO AND CUBBY BOX
I knew I wanted a CB radio for when I go off-roading or on a road trip with fellow Land Rover owners. I wanted something neat, out of sight for the CB itself and the aerial. I decided that I wanted a secure cubby box too, so the obvious solution was to buy a cubby box from Mobile Storage Solutions. After some measing to ensure I could keep the jack attached to the bulkhead I decided to go for the bottom of the range MSS cubby without the cup holders (this helped keep the cost down too). These are very well made and strong bits of kit, so even though it was an expense it was well spent! To replace the exising cup holders I used often, I installed a MUD Stuff Console which you can see around the base of the gearstick. The PSM-1 aerial mount is great as it keeps the whip from getting damaged and is very very strong and the aerial has a quick release attachement so I only put the aerial on when I need to use it.
